The first day of spring is today - and what a beautiful day it is! We decided to take our maths outside and enjoy this lovely day. Our four house groups rotated around ball toss and number writing, bean bag catch and count on, bean bag toss and tally and addition and subtraction number line. It was great to have Mrs Smith, Mr West and Mrs Fairweather join us too!
Thank you to parents and families for helping your child prepare for our book week celebration today. It was wonderful seeing such a range of characters come to life. We also thank you for coming along to the assembly - it really did make our day! 'On Monday 1st August Broulee Public School celebrated 'National Tree Day'. Every class played a part in planting, mulching and watering over 300 native plants, creating a new 'frog pond' garden and installing and planting a vertical garden on the wall of the canteen. The newly planted areas will not only make our school grounds more beautiful but will provide homes and food for native animals. The vertical garden is planted with salad greens, herbs and strawberries which will be used by our school canteen. Special thanks to Courtney for Eurobodalla Shire Council and Krystal from Bunnings, Batemans Bay for their donations and assistance. We are looking forward to watching the plants grow over the next few months. |
